Aero 20 for Explosives Detection
Oilton Remote Detection Technologies (ORD-TECH) has developed a state-of-the-art Airborne Infrared Detection System (AIRDS II) that analyses infrared images and identifies buried objects such as unexploded ordinance. In airborne testing at Edwards AFB, the AIRDS II system has detected 100% of the surface and buried Improvised Explosive Devices (IED’s) hidden by Air Force personnel. Sagebrush Technology integrated the IR camera and lens into a stabilized Aero 20 gimbal.
